Drawing on her experience and clients’ personal strengths, Laura provides education, tools and positive coping strategies to overcome life’s challenges. Through this, she promotes growth and enhancement of well-being to foster sustained resilience moving forward.
Laura primarily works with her clients utilising evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and mindfulness-based therapies. Her work history includes several years of experience working with children and youth in relation to behaviour and wellbeing concerns. She has also worked in the drug and alcohol sector supporting adults and their loved ones in their treatment and recovery from addiction.
While working with a diverse and broad range of clients with varying concerns, Laura found a particular interest working alongside youth and adolescents in their mental health. For many teenagers and adolescents, these years are vulnerable and challenging and are often filled with issues related to self-esteem, body image, exploring romantic relationships, drug and alcohol use, fighting for independence, conflict with loved ones and it’s a time where mental health issues may first present.
