Ellie is an experienced Psychologist with a background working in Private Practice in Brazil, followed by a relocation to Australia and extensive work across Private Practice and Organisations here.
Ellie is highly experienced in Psychology and Counselling, and has been practicing in this field in various roles since 2002.
Ellie is interested in helping her clients across a large range of issues such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, trauma, abuse, adjustment to changes, relationships, etc. In addition to this, Ellie has worked for over 9 years with young women who are survivors of Sexual and Domestic Violence, as well as Child Sexual abuse, and holds vast knowledge in this area.
Key highlights of Ellie’s experience and skills are:
- Extensive experience working with clients who require Portuguese/English translation support as part of Psychology treatment services.
- Through Ellie’s experience in clinical work, with a focus on Brief Psychotherapy for adults, Ellie has strong skills and experience with mediating, analyzing, quickly establish good patient rapport and facilitating brainstorming and solution workshops.
- Ellie has extensive experience working with various age groups across the lifespan, from adolescence to adulthood. She has extensive experience working with providing counselling assistance with CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) backgrounds and domestic violence survivors to help them overcome various social and cultural difficulties.
- Through Ellie’s post graduate qualifications in Early Childhood and experience in working with children, she has a clear understanding about childhood development requirements. Ellie combines her knowledge in Psychology with knowledge in children’s development to provide guidance on effective child behaviour management.
